Although relatively unknown as a SUP spot, the turquoise-colored Alpine lake turns out to be a colorful natural spectacle set against a stunning mountain backdrop. With your head constantly tilted back, you quickly forget about paddling as you are gently carried across the water by the wind.

The ponds are a real haven of peace with small islands and dreamy bays. Surrounded by almost untouched forest, you can glide across the water on your own and, with a bit of luck, spot the odd jumping fish.

The man-made lake in the leisure park at the foot of Mt. Kulm is the only larger lake in Eastern Styria and is therefore a popular SUP destination in the region.

An abandoned hotel and insurmountable rock massifs in the background, that's what stand-up paddlers glance at around the tourist hotspot of Lake Misurina. At 1800 m above sea level, you certainly are a rare breed when paddling on alpine waters.
