Floodplain landscapes and dreamy little islands characterize the western basin of the Völkermarkt Reservoir, as do views as far as the Alpine borders of Carinthia. Yet, stand up paddlers are a rare eye-catcher here

Between the two largest reservoirs in Carinthia, you paddle along hidden cycle paths, steep rock faces and wooded banks. Well fed by tributaries, the Drava flows surprisingly fast here and saves stand-up paddlers a lot of effort.

The Drava can be paddled at a brisk pace from Austria to Slovenia. The cross-border ride leads through mountains, hills and floodplain landscapes and is easy to master even for SUP novices.

The Foci dello Stella Nature Reserve is particularly easy to reach by SUP and can be explored in peace and quiet, away from heavy boat traffic. Rustic casoni, panoramic views of Lignano and the romantic lagoon complete this nature experience.

The Stella River combines a raw nature experience with leisurely river SUPing and, due to its diverse characteristics, has passages suitable for every paddler.

The Annabrücke Reservoir is an exceptional phenomenon thanks to its many faces. The Drava River becomes an inland sea with islands, floodplains and lagoon landscapes, secluded bays and Wild West panoramas.
