Paddleboarding
Caorle's hinterland in particular offers a lot of different waterways enabling extended paddling tours through agricultural areas. The town can also easily be explored on a day tour. Such a SUP tour not only leads over canals, but also over the Livenza River and of course the beaches. East of the beach Spiaggia di Levante you end up in the Vallevecchia as well as in Caorle's lagoon with its cute reed huts (casoni) and secluded waterways. The relatively short stretch of coast, just under 4.5 km long, can be covered quite quickly by SUP and leads past the picturesque Madonna dell'Angelo church, which is famous from many postcards.
Swimming
Flat, clean beaches and dog beaches, which are regularly awarded the Blue Flag are among Caorle's highlights. The infrastructure along the beaches and beach promenades is also great. The immediate vicinity of the bathing resort even boasts a total of 18 km of sandy beaches.

Worth seeing
The National Museum of Marine Archeology traces Caorle's development since the late Bronze Age and you learn more about the ship Mercurio, which sank in 1812 and fell victim to the Battle of Grado.
Built in 1751, the Pilgirmage Church of Madonna dell'Angelo is based on the remains of what is probably the oldest church building in the region. It is open during the day all year round and it is a popular destination for Caorlottes and believers from all over the world. Every five years the Procession of the Madonna dell'Angelo takes place.
The cathedral was built in 1038 and with its imposing bell tower it is worth a visit. The sacred building is dedicated to St. Stephen and can be visited daily. Adjacent to the cathedral is the episcopal Liturgical Museum, which should also be on every tourist's to-do-list.
The educational casone at the town's entrance lies in the Pescatore Park and is a replica of the typical fisherman's huts, which can be found in Caorle's lagoon and in its hinterland. The museum casone is freely accessible and serves to preserve old regional and local traditions and to raise awareness of them.
Extra Tips
Every September the international Street Theater 'La Luna nel Pozzo' forms the brilliant end of summer. The entire town center becomes a show stage and the town celebrates itself vigorously before autumn.
In summer the Italy Beach Soccer Tour as well as the Italian beach volleyball championship come to Caorle and offer not only entertaining tournaments but also an entertaining supporting program.
In addition to many other culinary village festivals, the Fish Festival 'Sagra del Pesce' takes place every August on the beach at the church of Madonna dell'Angelo. The enjoyment of Mediterranean cuisine is celebrated here right on the water - including music - and theater performances.
The fish market is open every day and the weekly market takes place on Saturdays. Both are a unique opportunity to purchase high-quality natural products from regional producers. Both are open all year round.
Within 20 minutes you reach the northeastern town of Portogruaro. There you will find one of the most beautiful old towns in northern Italy. Worth mentioning are the Leaning Tower of Portogruaro and the 13th-century town hall.
The Aquafollie Water Park is a great place to spend a fun day in the water as a family.
